The October demo has ended
The Steam Next Fest demo ran from October 19, 2026 at 10 AM PDT to October 26 at 10 AM PDT. That testing period is over.
During the event it was free for Steam users, with no application or invitation required. Those historical access terms are not a currently available download offer.
What was in the demo?
The demo included part of Diamond Shores. It was a limited slice of the game rather than the full planned Early Access world.
Some life content, including housing and trade, was excluded. See housing and trade for the announced broader scope.
Does progress transfer?
No. October demo progress and saves do not transfer into Early Access.
The separate plan for Early Access-to-1.0 progress is covered in save data and wipes.
What can you play next?
The announced Steam Early Access start is November 3, 2026 at 3 PM PST. Check the release schedule rather than following an old Download Demo instruction.
